Privacy policy

We are the data controller for the subscriber list described here. There is no separate data-protection officer; write to the address above and a member of the studio will answer.

What we collect

When you subscribe, we store two things:

  • the email address you typed in;
  • the date and time you confirmed the subscription.

Our sending platform also records, for each email, whether it was delivered and whether the unsubscribe link was used. We do not ask for your name, location, or anything else, and we don't buy or merge data from other sources.

Why we collect it

To send you the issues you asked for and to stop sending them when you ask us to. That's the whole purpose. The legal basis under the GDPR is your consent, which you give by confirming the sign-up email and can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.

Delivery records are used to remove addresses that bounce repeatedly, so we're not sending into a void. We don't use open or click statistics to profile individual readers.

Where it's stored

The list lives with our email sending provider, which processes it on our behalf under a data-processing agreement. Their servers are in the EU or covered by EU-approved transfer terms. A working copy of the address list is kept by the studio in Zagreb for support requests.

We don't sell, rent, lend, or swap the list, and retailers featured in an issue never receive it.

How long we keep it

  • While you're subscribed: for as long as the list exists.
  • After you unsubscribe: your address is removed from the active list within 24 hours and kept on a suppression list so we don't accidentally re-add it. You can ask for that entry to be deleted too.
  • Support emails: kept for twelve months, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or hand it over in a plain file. Email contact@alodeals.net from the address in question and we'll act on it within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you think we've handled your data badly, you can also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or the supervisory authority in your own country.

Cookies and tracking

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers; Google's own privacy policy applies to that request. Nothing else on the site talks to a third party.

Emails contain links to retailers' pages. Once you follow a link, the retailer's privacy policy applies, not ours.

Changes

If we change anything material here, the next issue will say so at the top and link to the new version. The revision date at the top of this page is the only record of versions we keep.
